LEAF XCEED Music Division – Clockwork Sky
Finally, a new song release! And it’s not a remix either, it’s an original! …so what if it’s only around a minute and a half?! XD;;
This is a very experimental song for me, and in fact, is the first of its kind. Usually, my songs have rhythm guitars and lead guitars as the main instruments, but this time the rhythm guitars take a back seat and give that role to the piano. What have we got here…strings, piano, bass, drums and lead guitars. Oh, and it’s in 7/4. If it seems to be progressive, that’s what it is. This instrument set is also partly inspired from Hirofumi Sasaki, a composer for the rhythm game Drummania, who worked on tracks such as Concertino in Blue, The Least 100sec and Timepiece Phase II. 🙂
What I envisioned while making this song was a very tall tower high up in the skies. Since I played Castlevania: The Dracula X Chronicles recently, with the last stage I played in having a tall clock tower, I also thought of clocks and how the melodies could be utilized to sound mechanic. I emphasized strings playing high notes, and combined with a legitimate piano part it sure would sound like something you’d hear in the air.
Hope you enjoy! I really enjoyed making this and listening to it…cause I found out I’m capable of making songs like this after all without powerful rhythm guitars to guide my way 😄
