LEAF XCEED Music Division – For Alexandria

I’m sure anyone who has any knowledge of Final Fantasy IX will wonder what song this remix…remixes. Actually, it can be traced all the way back to a blast from the past, during my recorder-playing days in my school. To my knowledge at the time, I was the self-proclaimed best recorder player in the school (YEAAAAAAAAAA) along with my classmate and trusted friend; we played duets like hell covering everything from anime openings, video game tracks and even original compositions. Those were great times, but so much has changed from both our sides once high school started. However, after a recent visit of his to my place (after 3 years) we got back to reminiscing and I remembered that Protecting My Devotion from FF9’s soundtrack was one of the things we performed.

I completely forgot about the song already after grade school, but when he showed my “letter name transcription” of it on a really old (AND LEGENDARY!) piece of paper, I remembered the exact notes on the recorder and the song itself.

But I heard it not just as a recorder piece anymore, but as a piece with potential to be remixed…LEAF XCEED Music Division style.

Enjoy! šŸ˜€

  1. so amazing..

  2. i will cry tears of joy if you do more FF9 remixes/an extended version of this one

especially “Crossing Those Hills” or “The Place I Will Return to Someday”

    • Eh, sorry, discussion about an extended version has been put aside, and those two tracks sound too peaceful for my style XD The Place I Will Return To Someday might make for a very calming peace if ever I decide to remix is that way, though …

  3. i love this so much omg
